... on the homepage of the 2nd FAI Women's European Hot Air Balloon Championship!

The still young european championship of the female balloonists is held for the second time in September 2012 and will take place in the beautiful Frankenthal (Palatinate), Germany.

Guests from Europe and the whole world have announced themselves to see an exciting and fair competition of the best pilots.

As a special highlight for young and old a Fiesta event is organized by the pilots, to thrill the vistitors for the fascination of ballooning. One has the opportunity to see the balloons at close range, ride with them or to simply enjoy the unique musical balloon glow.

We are proud to welcome one of the most famous balloonist of all time, Brian Jones of England, who has 1999 orbited the earth with his friend Bertrand Piccard non-stop in 19 days, 21 hours and 55 minutes. He will come to Frankenthal with a replica of the balloon "Breitling Orbiter 3", with which he covered the 46.000 km and report on his adventure, also answering questions of the interested audience.
